SCHOOLS OF SANCTUARY

In 2019, The Friars Primary School became the first Salford primary school to be awarded the status of a School of Sanctuary. We are committed to ensuring that all children who are admitted to and attend The Friars are given the best support and best opportunity to succeed in our fantastic, multi-cultural city.

Last year, 19% of the children who attended The Friars by July had arrived in that academic year. Therefore, we place an enormous importance on ensuring that all children and families are welcomed into our community, made to feel safe and are provided with the individual programme that they require to flourish as children, young adults and adults.
